This is my first blog post on my first website, so to anyone who found themselves here:
This summer I had the amazing opportunity to travel to two countries I had never been to before, both critical to my heritage. The first was Argentina, where I traveled with my parents and visited my paternal grandfather’s family. The second was Israel, where I traveled with a group of other 20-somethings on a tour. Both were amazing experiences, where I learned a lot about other cultures, different perspectives and values, and the ways we are all connected. It re-instilled in me a love of traveling, and I can’t wait to go on the next adventure.
I also managed to snag a few pictures I thought were worth sharing.
I have often imagined what it would be like to have my own blog, a place to revel in my nerdiness, post my photos and art, and a soapbox on which to expound my views. A place on the internet that was really mine.
In the coming weeks, I will be using this blog to post my favorites from these trips, and give my friends and family a better answer to the question “Where in the world is Gabe?”—as I was affectionately informed people kept wondering.
I am not prone to Internet rants, so pictures will likely be the majority of what this blog contains. However, I’ve never had a blog before so we will see what I’m inspired to post!
Take my hand (or not) and join me on this escapade into the unknown!
I’ll do my best to make it worth your while.
